Woodcock and Wilson have set new standards for quality by becoming one of the first companies to be certificated to the latest 2015 version of ISO9001 by internationally renowned 3rd party auditors Alcumus ISOQAR Ltd. With the new standard, ISO9001:2015, issued on 14 September, we were delighted to achieve certification at their audit less than 2 weeks later.

The revised version of the standard places greater emphasis on business leadership, strategic planning, the management of business risk and opportunity and required the business to update it’s management system documentation to provide evidence of compliance with a range of existing and new requirements. The audit took place on 7 October and Woodcock and Wilson are delighted to be told that we have successfully met all the new requirements.

Managing Director, Ian Crum, had this to say:

“Having been audited against the ISO9001:2008 standard in the past it was clear that this new standard would provide a much greater test of our management processes and strategy. I’m delighted that we were able to demonstrate that we meet all the requirements of the standard in the way we run the business. The auditor really put us through our paces and it was good to be able to show how the business is developing and to share our plans for the future.”

Steve Stubley, Technical Director of Alcumus ISOQAR, presented the business with their certificate at a ceremony held at the Crosland Hill factory on 24 November, and commented:

“This is a great achievement and demonstrates that the company and its staff are fully committed to meeting the new challenges that this standard requires.”
