One of the UK’s leading fan manufacturers has seen significant growth in its fan servicing operation so far this year as it continues to meet the growing demand from industry for quality on-site servicing and maintenance.
Woodcock & Wilson, based in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire expects growth to continue as more and more companies realise that having their fans maintained and serviced can prevent serious health and safety issues, as well as saving both time and money.
Woodcock & Wilson’s managing director Mark Jones said: “We have always been renowned for manufacturing high quality, reliable fans which are used in a wide range of industrial applications. Our aim this year has been to build on that reputation and focus on educating companies that neglecting to maintain a fan can lead to possible danger from critical failure of the rotating parts, not to mention the costs associated with repair and lost production time if a fan were to breakdown.”
As a result of this increased growth, Woodcock & Wilson has set up a dedicated maintenance and servicing team, headed up by Service Director Richard Wilson, who will arrange to inspect, service or repair any make of industrial fan on site.
One member of the team, Service Engineer John Harding, an expert technician with 25 years experience in the industry, having worked in the manufacture, installation and maintenance of fans all his working life commented: “Servicing fans doesn’t have to be expensive. Regular maintenance ensures reliability in the long term and companies are beginning to realise that they cannot afford for their fans to be stood idle for long periods of time as this affects production output.”
Established for nearly 35 years, Woodcock & Wilson manufacture both centrifugal and axial fan designs for an extensive range of applications including heating and ventilation, air pollution control, petro-chemical, offshore and process engineering. Its contract maintenance and repair service enables fan users to maintain and maximise performance levels.
