Backward bladed centrifugal fan designs generally represent the most efficient and cost effective industrial fans for both clean air and light dust loads.

Woodcock & Wilson has developed a series of highly efficient laminar bladed fans suitable for most air or gas applications, classified as the BL range. BL fans incorporate special aerodynamic casing design features to facilitate operation at extremely high efficiency in terms of power usage, allowing static efficiencies in excess of 80% to be provided, depending on the required width of the fan and type of application.

The BL units are available in a wide range of widths and fan sizes, ranging from the minimum width BLX to the maximum width BLW and 315mm to 3000mm impeller diameter.
